Making Strides offers Level 1 and Level 2 accredited programmes through The Leadership Skills Foundation

All of which build the 5 key skills identified by employers;

  • Self-management
  • Problem solving
  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Self-confidence

Things you need to know:

You do not have to be a super sporty person to access our courses. We will be doing a range of activities to complete the qualification from problem solving games through to activities participants are interested in, such as walking or team games.

As a learner you'll develop an evidence record of your learning. There is also a large element of practical activities and evidencing learning through observation.

Some support can be offered by the tutor team to help youi whilst you complete your learner paperwork.

You'll complete activities in teams and there will be some group work involved in sessions. As you build confidence you'll take or more responsibility to plan and lead sessions and build your leadership skills.

Moving back into education, training or employment can be a huge leap if you have / are experiencing emotional wellbeing difficulties. Mindful Movers will offer you a safe and inclusive first step, where you can access practical focused qualifications delivering transferable skills. The foundations laid down by these qualifications will offer you the platform to move onto new opportunities such as volunteering, paid employment, further education & training.

You will stride towards to new horizons!
